If you hit the links on a beautiful summer day you typically want to play it safe and keep it in the fairway.
The same thing is true with your golf cart.
If you’re driving a golf cart on the course or at your house (i.e. on premise) your homeowners insurance liability will follow you.
But what if you decide you want to take a joy ride to the beach in your golf cart…?
Or you want to take a dip in the lake across town…?
Maybe you want to drive your golf cart in the parade?
You’re going to need to add an endorsement to your homeowners policy to provide coverage for liability and physical damage coverage.
You could also buy a separate policy specifically designed for golf carts.
Most homeowners insurance policies will not automatically extend coverage while driving your golf cart away from your house and/or golf course.
