It’s 9:00 pm….Finally a little peace and quiet around here.
During the day this place can get chaotic. I do my best work when the humans leave.
Most people think all cats do is eat, sleep, and chase mice…maybe that’s the case with your cat, but not here. I blame Garfield for giving people this impression.
I’m sure I’ve met some of you reading this, but for those that don’t know me, let me introduce myself. I’m Cupcake.
I traveled for quite a while. Until a few years ago, when I settled in at JBLB Insurance Group in Cameron, Missouri.
They treat me well.

Why I Bought Pet Insurance
You see, I’m finally getting back on my feet. A couple of months ago I broke my leg. Let’s just say my curiosity got the best of me. Luckily a broken leg is all it was.
Needless to say, it was a long night.
When Shayla (she takes care of all of my personal affairs) finally arrived in the morning, I had her take me to the veterinarian.
[What is it with waiting rooms…? I think we were in there forever!]Once I got back to see Dr. Arbuckle he ran some x-rays. He mentioned it was one of the worst breaks he had ever seen.
[I have to brag a minute. When I moved to Cameron I got pretty lucky. The humans here have treated me really well. One of the guys who sits in the back is always jamming to music with his earbuds. I wish he’d unplug those silly things so we could jam with him.]But I digress.
The head honcho here, I like to call him Professor Baker (he’s an insurance whiz), insisted I have a health policy (yep – for pets).
I’m glad he did too.
My pet insurance policy paid for my x-rays, surgery, and medicine.
I had a $100 deductible and 80/20 copay. Talk about savings!
Turning In the Claim
Figo Pet Insurance has this slick app. Shayla uploaded the bills and gave the insurance company a brief summary of what’s been going on. And presto!
She was also able to track the claim online through the entire process.
There were a few times she had questions. Figo’s customer support allowed her to text or chat online instead of sit on hold forever.
Pretty purrfect if you ask me.
Figo has a few other sweet bonuses too:
- Their mobile app allowed her to manage all of my medical records in the cloud. She uploads them and boom!
- Free pet tags with a unique ID number. So if I happen to get lost, a human can send a text message to the ID number on my collar to alert Shayla.
- Text and email alert reminders for shots and other important stuff you need to remember.
- Find pet related businesses around you (parks, veterinarians, pet stores, etc.)
- Figo’s app even connects with Gibi Pet GPS tracking.
What’s Next?
So that’s my story. Don’t take my word for it. Get a hold of the humans here at my house. They’re here during the day and could fill you in on the details about how Figo helped me.
Or check them out for yourself here.
Stop by and see me sometime.
